We provide General Medicine, Psychology, Wellness, and Psychiatry. We perform tests and dispense medicine from within the clinic. We also assist our patients to specialists, imaging centers, and hospitals when necessary. We also conduct services online and at a few established hotels (specific requirements apply as this is a premium service, and requests are individually assessed case-by-case). We generally DO NOT provide Pediatrics, Surgery, Geriatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology (requests are individually assessed case-by-case).
What are my payment options?
Payments can be made by cash or credit card. We accept VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERS, JCB, and DINERS.
What is your insurance policy?
We do not accept insurance (including Japanese national health insurance). Services are provided on a “cash-only (direct payment)” basis. We do not offer any direct billing (cashless) arrangements. Payments are expected at the time medical services are rendered. We can issue a receipt in English (itemized with ICD code upon request).
Can I Video/Chat with a General Practitioner online even if I am not in Tokyo?
American Clinic Online is an online medical service backed by the American Clinic Tokyo. It provides Primary Care via Video/Chat to individuals located anywhere in Japan. Patients can receive medications for minor ailments at a nearby pharmacy. Services are available during office hours depending on the availability of physicians. * Attention: Psychiatry and Pediatrics are not supported under this service. We do not issue narcotics, stimulants, or psychotropics online.
